The dua for leaving bathroom supplicates gratitude to Allah, enabling us to relieve ourselves without hardship and difficulty.

In a toilet, you can dispose of human waste (such as feces and urine). Additionally, it is the Sunnah of Muhammad (PBUH) for Muslims to say dua (supplication) before entering and exiting the Bathroom. This dua must be recited to protect you from the evil Jinn that can be found in restrooms.

According to the scholars, the need to ask for forgiveness stems from the fact that one did not consider Allah when entering, using, and leaving the Bathroom. The Muslim sees such as a failing and atones for it by pleading with Allah for mercy.

A bathroom is where impurities occur, and private parts are exposed. It is therefore advised to enter, complete your tasks, and then go and ask for Allah’s protection through reading dua.

Hadith- Referenced Bathroom Etiquette in Islam

While using the Bathroom, Muslims should keep in mind the following points.

Use Your Left Hand Instead

According to Abu Qatada, Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) commanded: “Whenever you drink water, you should not breathe in the drinking utensil, and whenever you go to the bathroom, you should not wipe your private parts with your right hand.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, 153; textual quotation: Book 4, Hadith 19]

Thoroughly Clean Before Leaving the Bathroom

After using the restroom, you should thoroughly clean yourself because the Prophet (PBUH) forbade being negligent regarding cleanliness after urination [Reported by Ibn Maajah, 342; see also Saheeh al-Jaami, 1202].

Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin, narrates: Ten are the natural acts, according to the Prophet of Allah (PBUH);

Trimming the mustache, letting the beard grow, using the toothpick, washing the finger joints, cutting the nails, plucking the hair under the armpits, shaving around the private parts, and cleaning the private parts with water (after easing or urinating).

I don’t remember the tenth, although it might have involved mouthwash, the narrator continued.

While using the Bathroom, Don’t face the Qibla

According to Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari, Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) stated, “If anyone among you walks to an open place for satisfying the call of nature, you should neither face nor turn your back towards the Qibla; you should either face the east or the west.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 4, Hadith 10, is cited].

Conclusion

After using the restroom, we make a Dua for leaving Bathroom to thank Allah Almighty for enabling us to do so easily and comfortably.
