Lohe Qurani Interpretation by Dr. Ahsan Rehman

We read the Lohe Qurani at the start of different Surahs. A comprehensive study by Dr. Rehman found these words give some messages to wise persons and those seeking for knowledge.

Lohe Qurani in Surah Sad, Surah Maryam and Surah Al ahraf

“Sad” is a single letter in Surah Sad. Saber (patience) word starts with “Sad”. So, the Surah Sad represents Saber. The names of Ambiya (Prophets), Hazrat Ayub, and Hazrat Ibrahim discussed in this Surah are well known for their Saber. Using the example of their Saber, Allah Almighty advised Saber and highlighted that good things come to those who wait.

Moreover, “Sad” is discussed in two more Surahs: Surah Maryam and Surah Al Ahraf. Surah Maryam narrates that Ambiya are Sadiqeen (Always speak the truth). And Surah Al Ahraf narrates Ambiya are Saleheen (Pious).

Surah Qaf links with different Topics starting with “Qaf”

In the Holy Quran, Surah Qaf narrates different topics like Qiyamat (Dooms Day), Moot kay Manazer (scenes of death), Qaber ka bayan (explanation of grave), Qoomon ki tbahi (destruction of nations), and Qurbe Elahi (getting Close with Allah Almighty).

Surah Qalam link with “Nun”

This Surah uses Zunnoon to inform Akhri Nabi (the Last Prophet) Hazrat Muhammad Salal la ho alehi wa Alehi Wasalam about Hazrat Younas (Alehi Salam).

Meanings of More than One letters of Lohe Qurani

If there is more than one Huroof e Muqatta’at in any Surah, then each Haraf has different meanings. Surah with “Alif Lam” basically narrates the highness of praises of Allah Almighty. Alif not only has separate importance but is also important when used with other huroof like “Ra”, “Lam”, and “Meem”.

Meanings of “Ra” in Surah Yousaf

Dr. Ahsan Rehman beautifully explains that Haraf “Ra” played an important role in Surah Yousaf.

Interestingly, this Surah tells us about different incidents like Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam)’s dream, the dream of two slaves, Egyptian king’s dream. These dreams are in Rabat (linked with each other). The basic focus of these dreams is Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam).

Throughout the Surah Yousaf, all important words (from throwing Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) in well to his parents sitting on royal seats) started with “Ra”. Besides the haraf “Ra” (that means saw) is frequently used in Surah Yousaf. For instance,

  • Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) saw the dream.
  • His brothers saw their father praising him.
  • Hazrat Yaqoob (Alehi Salam) saw the blood on shirt.
  • In search of water, a passenger saw in well.
  • The King of Egypt saw Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam).
  • King’s wife saw Hazarat Yousaf (Alehi Salam).
  • They saw Hazrat Yousaf’s shirt from front and back.
  • Salves saw the dream in Jail.
  • Salves saw the dream reading by Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) proved true.
  • Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) saw that Allah Almighty loved him.
  • The King of Egypt saw the dream.
  • Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) saw his brother when they came during the Famine.
  • Brother saw Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) but couldn’t recognize him.
  • After reaching home, the brothers saw that the money had been returned to them.
  • After touching the Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam)’s shirt with his eyes, Hazrat Yaqoob (Alehi Salam) was able to see again.
  • When the family reached Egypt, they saw Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam) as the King of Egypt.

More About Other Surahs

Moreover, Surah where “Alif Lam” is used with “Meem” describes Malikul Mulk.

Surah Alif Lam is used with Ra, describes Rabat (relation) and Rasool (Prophet) like Hazrat Younas (Alehi Salam), Hazrat Loot (Alehi Salam), Hazrat Ibrahim (Alehi Salam), Hazrat Yousaf (Alehi Salam).

Additionally, Surah Ha’Meem is the 40th Surah of the Holy Quran. Allah’s Hamd-o-Sana (praise) is the basic topic of this Surah. Moreover, it points out that Mout (death) is the reality. No one can avoid it. And this Surah discussed details of life after death.

Besides, Surah starting with Ta’ Seen’ Meem narrates about Tor-e-Seena, Hazrat Suleman (Alehi Salam), Hazrat Musa (Alehi Salam), and birds.

In Sum, the recent Interpretation of Lohe Qurani reveals that Huroof e Muqatta’at is a miracle in the holy Quran. The Surahs which started with these Huroof, discuss the dignity and respect of the Holy Quran.
